Boarding Experience is held annually, coinciding with our Open Day in May. The 2025 Boarding Experience will be held from Saturday 17 May to Sunday 18 May.
Boarding Experience is an opportunity for new boarding students entering in 2026 to experience Cathedral boarding first hand.
Students will register on arrival at 9am on Saturday morning. They will meet current boarders and Cathedral staff, and be assigned a ‘boarding buddy. New boarders and their families will then attend our School Open Day through to midday before they check in to dorms and live as a boarder sharing meals together in the dining hall, participating in weekend social activities and sleeping overnight in the dorm.

The Boarding Experience provides a great insight into boarding life and a chance to meet our wonderful staff and friendly boarders. The Boarding Experience is scheduled to coincide with our annual School Open Day in May and students have the option to stay overnight.
