Fencing Academy

In partnership with the NQ Fencing Association, The Cathedral School Fencing Academy is open to all students from Years 5 to Year 12.

The Cathedral School of St Anne and St James Fencing Academy offers students the opportunity to experience one of the world’s most dynamic and strategic sports in a supportive, skill-focused environment. Designed for students of all experience levels, the program develops agility, coordination, discipline, and tactical thinking through expert coaching and structured training. As part of the school’s broader commitment to sport and co-curricular excellence, the academy encourages students to build confidence, sportsmanship, and a lifelong love of physical activity while progressing their fencing skills and competing in a unique and challenging sport.

Peter is a highly respected coach with over seven years running successful school fencing programs across North Queensland.

REGISTRATIONS

Season Registration:
Sessions commence Wednesday 29 April in The Rock Centre. No experience required:

Year 5 & 6 – 3:10 pm to 4:00 pm
Year 7 – 12 – 4:30 pm to 5:30 pm

Please Note: The 2026 season is Fully Booked.

New member:
$150

Inclusions:
• 15 Week Program with all equipment provided
• Competition in September 2026.

Potential additional costs:
• Tailor-made 3-piece uniform ($160)
