'SUNDOWNER' BY THE LAGOON

Cathedral School families are welcome to join us on the magnificent front lawn for our ‘Sundowner’ by the lagoon, in conjunction with our Foundation Day and Reunion Weekend, 2023. This is a combined function for past and present members of the school community.

Entertainment by ‘The Late Shift’.

The event will also provide an opportunity for families and past students to farewell Principal Ian Gamack and Diana Gamack, as they begin their final semester after 15 years of service at The Cathedral School.

BOOKING IS ESSENTIAL

Entry: $10 admission includes canapés, and entertainment. Drinks are available for purchase with a cash/eftpos bar on site.
This is an 18+ event only.

The Early Learning Centre and Junior School are thrilled to be hosting Grandparents’ Day on Thursday 22 June – the last day of Term 2. This is a unique opportunity for children to share all of the amazing experiences they participate in here at school with someone special, their Grandparent/s (or special friend).  Please Note: This is an Invitation Only Event.

Magic, Myths & Legends

Bookings are now open for the 2023 Music and Dance Showcase with this year’s theme ‘Magic, Myths & Legends’.
Alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages will be on sale prior to the performance. Both Eftpos and cash facilities will be available as payment options.

P&F CARNIVAL 2023

The Parents and Friends Association invites you to the P&F Carnival 2023, held at The Cathedral School from 5:00pm – 8:30pm. This year is set to be bigger and better than ever, with amazing rides, the infamous Haunted House, Food & Drinks, and 57 fantastic prizes to be won in the Dodger raffle.

There will be lots of food and drinks, a bar, tombola, wine barrow, book stall, scratchy tree, raffles, cakes, biscuits, slices, cent sale, sweets, craft, plants, glow sticks, second-hand toys, chocolate toss, paddle pop dig, second-hand uniforms, displays, rides, haunted house, entertainment from our Music Department and more!

Rides: Unlimited Ride Bands ($30 Per Child).

Pre-purchased bands will close midday Wednesday 17 May and be available for collection from the Junior School Undercover Area on Thursday 18 May from 2.30pm to 3.30pm or at the Carnival from the Amusements Plus tent. On the night prices will be $35 per child and individual tickets can be bought for $5 per ticket.

Haunted House: $5 each.

Tickets are limited and there will be 400 pre-sold. Only a small number of tickets will be available on the night. The Haunted House is not included in the ride bands.

THE CATHEDRAL SCHOOL OPEN DAY & BOARDING EXPERIENCE 2023

Take a ‘behind-the-scenes’ tour of the school at our Annual Open Day.

Hosted by our current students, you’ll meet our exceptional staff at our subject expo and information sessions, discover our awesome extracurricular activities and learn about our pastoral care program.

Take the opportunity to participate in a classroom workshop, then sit back and relax with a coffee while watching special performances under our towering 160-year-old raintrees.

Bring the whole family and make a morning of it!

BOARDING EXPERIENCE: Saturday 13 May – Sunday 14 May 2023.

This is an opportunity for new boarding students entering in 2024 to experience Cathedral boarding firsthand.

The Boarding Experience provides a great insight into boarding life and a chance to meet our wonderful staff and friendly boarders. The Boarding Experience is scheduled to coincide with our School Open Day on Saturday 13 May and students have the option to stay overnight and depart on Sunday 14 May.

Students will register on arrival at 9 am on Saturday morning. They will meet current boarders and Cathedral staff, and be assigned a ‘boarding buddy. New boarders and their families will then attend our School Open Day through to midday before they check in to dorms and live as a boarder sharing meals together in the dining hall, participating in weekend social activities, and sleeping overnight in the dorm.

'THE CLAW' - A NEW CHILDREN'S MUSICAL

We are proud to present our 7th Junior School Musical ‘The Claw’.

Mrs. Diana Gamack, Mrs. Tessa Nichols, staff, and students in Years 4, 5 and 6 have been rehearsing in preparation for two evening performances on Thursday 4 May, and Friday 5 May at 7 pm in the Rock Centre.

Tickets are sold out for both shows.

This magical story begins when an out-of-order claw game suddenly turns back on. All of the toys are ecstatic! Well…all of the toys except for Dot, a terrified stuffed cow. Dot’s desperate to hold onto her home and her best friend, Aiden. Can Dot conquer her fear of the unknown with some help from the Flair Bears, Mighty Power Turtles, Beanie Elders, and the all-knowing Mystical 8-Ball?

We look forward to sharing these incredible nights with you.
