The Cathedral School Football Academy was introduced in 2020 under the guidance of former pro footballer and Olympian, Gareth Edds.

The Academy is open to students from Year 3 through to Year 9, with weekly training by qualified coaches, and participation in two Development Cup tournaments throughout the year.

REGISTRATIONS

Season Registration:
Term 1, Week 1. Accept invitation in Parent Lounge (Events & Payments).*

Students participating in Term 1 are given priority for the Term 2, 3, and 4 program.

*Limited to 12 players per age group on a first-in basis.

COST

New player:
$175
Term fees:
$30 per week

Inclusions:
• Weekly training sessions with qualified coach.
• Registration and participation in 2 x Development Cup Tournaments throughout the year.
• New players receive a water bottle, jersey, shorts, socks and hat.

Potential additional costs:
• Additional tournaments and tours may become available at an additional cost.

SCHEDULE

Training:
• Years 3/4: Wednesdays 7:00 am
• Years 5/6: Fridays 7:00 am
• Years 7/8: Thursdays 7:00 am
• Years 9/10: Day TBC 7:00 am

Gareth Edds - Coach

Football Academy

Gareth is an Australian Institute of Sport (AIS) graduate, and former professional footballer who began his career with Nottingham Forest. His playing career included lining up for the Socceroos, with managerial experience at Northern Fury. His focus is on developing pathways for young players in Northern Queensland.
