Celebrating 107 Years

The Cathedral School gathered on the 26 – 28 July to celebrate the school community, staff, and students – beginning with Foundation Day service and Lagoon Dash on Friday, the Sundowner by the Lagoon Friday evening, the Past Student reunions on Saturday, and the St James Cathedral service on Sunday. This year, we also marked the 100th anniversary of our House system, honouring the legacy of Bede, Chatham, Langton, and More.

Thank you to past student and boarder Kerrie Richards for visiting the school and addressing the students and staff at our Foundation Day service. It was an inspiration to hear your story and celebrate your success.

The school also recognised two long-serving and dedicated staff with awards presented at the Foundation Day service:
Toni Lanphier Award 2024
Congratulations to Judy Salk, recipient of the Toni Lanphier School Service Award, in recognition of exemplary service to the school over an extended period of time. Judy has worked tirelessly to promote and improve the school and its community with generosity and good grace. Some of Judy’s highlighted achievements include leadership with Teaching (English/Literature & Head of English), Toastmasters Gavel Club, Public Speaking & Debating, Writers’ Camp, Literacy Lighthouse, Lunchtime Tutoring, and Social Club.

Congratulations to Father Tim Adkins, in recognition of 20 years of dedicated and loyal service, the impact and lasting legacy created within the school community, and the contribution made to the lives of students.
